Hartlepool Mail

Today the Hartlepool Mail has run a story concerning one of our most recent deed sales, after contacting us last week for an official comment. Clarence Road in Hartlepool resold for $2,341 and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the original deed holder who made a cool $2,331 profit, as a result of this sale. Not bad at all for a $10 investment! We would of course also like to congratulate the new owner of this deed and we're sure it will turn out to be a fantastic long-term investment for them.

New "Real Estate" Property Indexes Announced! - posted: 01/28/2008

Real Estate Indexes

Over the past few months Street Deeds has been approached by numerous contenders that represent a large proportion of real estate that is both sold and marketed over the internet. An index based on real estate was always on the cards (no pun intended), but every proposal and partnership agreement we have received for consideration would have been of no financial benefit to any of our deed holders, which grossly contravenes the core ethical values of Street Deeds and what it stands for. We would never do anything that could jeopardize these values and with the help of our deed holders, we as a united force intend to move into real estate in true "click to brick" fashion via a new set of alternative and upcoming indexes!

Street Deeds will soon be launching a new set of indexes based on real estate. These new indexes will allow any private home owner to list their real estate for FREE on the Street Deeds website. This will not only increase exposure of Virtual Title Deeds even further, but it will also provide another potential source of income for deed holders. Agents or those otherwise representing the sale of a property will be expressly forbidden to advertise real estate on a title deed, unless the owner of the deed in question has "Enabled Agents" via their online dashboard. Deed holders will also be given the option to charge a small fee for agent based advertising and a separate form of index duties will be available in which the deed holders will collect 100% of the revenue. Agents who own title deeds will of course be given exclusive advertising rights to them and will be free to list as many properties on them as they wish. The new real estate indexes will have three main categories which will be "For Sale", "To Let" and "Rooms To Let". Advanced search functionality will also be added and property availability will be featured as a prominent statistic on each virtual deed. A live and accurate real estate counter will also traverse itself throughout the browseable index system, right down to each individual locality.

These new indexes will be launched by the end of March 2008 and will be run from an independent sub-domain on the Street Deeds website. The system itself has been in beta development since November 2007, and for anyone interested in real estate; you’re in for a real treat!!!

AdShare Revenue Program and Deed Wallet for 2008! - posted: 01/26/2008

AdShare Revenue Program

Later this year we will be launching our AdShare Revenue Program and Street Deeds is currently holding talks with a number of organizations with a view to providing them with organic geo-targeted internet traffic. The system will work by allowing commercial banner advertising outside of a Virtual Title Deed, but it will appear on the same web page. Advertisers will be able to choose from either a "pay per click" option or a campaign that is based on "pay per impressions". Even though advertisements will not appear on a deed itself, all deed holders will be able to block advertising banners from appearing on the same page as their deed, should they wish to do so. They will also be able to filter the advertising if they would like to partially syndicate the global campaigns. One reason for this is to prevent any commercial conflict between our AdShare Revenue Program and private advertisements placed on a deed card by its owner or any associative sponsor(s).

Street Deeds will NOT profit from this AdShare Revenue Program as that is not what we're about! However, we do have to take transaction fees into the equation, so will be collecting a portion of revenue from banners located on local indexes and deeds that we have not yet sold. Should we over-collect on a campaign then the surplus funds will be distributed evenly to deed holders in the surrounding geographical area.

Revenue generated from commercial advertising will be variable, based on the campaign type and targeting but let's say for example sake that a deed holder is syndicating a campaign that is worth just 1˘ per banner impression, this would equate to $10.00 for each thousand visitors that view their deed card. Bearing in mind that if a visitor clicks on various sub-pages on the deed then they could also benefit from the rolling rotation of other banner campaigns live in the system.

All payments made will be paid on a deed basis only and will be credited to a "Deed Wallet" that will be incorporated into the current dashboard system. This wallet will be credited in real-time and all deed holders will be able to transfer the cash to their PayPal Account, subject to a minimum withdrawal of $1.00. Our system communicates directly with PayPal with no human interaction required, so as soon as you click "Transfer Funds From Wallet" you will receive the cash instantly. You will also not have to pay any PayPal fees for receiving the money, even if you have a PayPal Business or Premier Account!

We will post more information about the AdShare Revenue Program in due course. If you have any questions or feedback to offer us, then please do not hesitate to contact us through the website. If you are an advertiser and wish to be kept informed with the latest developments and statistical updates then please e-mail: for further information.

Street Deeds USA out of Beta and fully Operational! - posted: 01/23/2008

Street Deeds USA

It has taken a considerable amount of time to get Street Deeds USA out of Beta but we've finally solved all outstanding issues and added all the functionality of its sister site. This includes fully browseable indexes for States, Towns, and Cities, contact pages, relevancy pools for word associations, neighborhood linkage for all streets within one radial mile of each property, hybrid satellite viewing for each location and the Street Book local business directories. The Affiliate Program has also been launched in the USA and it's backwards compatible with the UK site to maximize affiliate earning potential. February will also see the launch of a new feature called "twinning" which will allow deed holders to twin their USA streets with a nominated UK counterpart and vice-versa.

New features roll-out scheduled for early February - posted: 01/23/2008

Now Street Deeds USA is now firing on all thrusters; February will see the roll-out of some exciting new features on both sites. Apart from "twinning" streets (as mentioned above), deed holders will soon be able to submit their deeds to the long-awaited and much anticipated category based indexes. The advertising box for each deed will also be published on the relevancy pool and local neighborhood landing pages. These pages are responsible for capturing a large percentage of all organic internet traffic received by each deed, so it's important that all adverts benefit from this extra exposure. The new API is also being tested extensively and it's hoped that this will also see a public release later that same month.

Marketing material, Sponsorship forms and Deed development guides - posted: 01/23/2008

We are currently working on producing sponsorship forms and marketing material that will help each deed holder who wishes to acquire sponsorship and ad revenue a full "Deed Developers" pack which will include plenty of guides, forms marketing and sales literature. We anticipate these will be completed within the next 6 weeks and will be available to download from within your dashboards. Each pack will also be generated "on the fly" and will be completely customized for each deed.

Online delivery of Dashboard Codes and ID retrieval - posted: 01/23/2008

When a property is purchased directly from Street Deeds your dashboard codes will not only be sent to you by e-mail, but you will also be able to view them via your PayPal Account by bringing up the details of the original transaction. For those of you who require a copy of your dashboard codes then please click here to use our automated system and request a full list of all your properties (will be zipped and supplied in manageable csv format). These new measures should help to cut down the number of requests we receive each day with regards to lost or non-receipt of dashboard id codes.

Spam, spam, spam, spam and the occasional DDoS! - posted: 01/23/2008

Over the past few months Street Deeds has received an unprecedented number of unsolicited bulk e-mails (several hundred thousand to be precise). During this period we have tried and tested a number of preventive measures in order to sort the junk from the genuine enquiries. We now have everything back under control so if you have contacted us in the past and did not receive a reply then please accept our sincerest apologies and resubmit any outstanding queries you may have. We understand from several sources that during our tweaking of the system we lost a large number of messages (mainly from free e-mail service providers), many of these were to retrieve misplaced dashboard codes. If you are still missing any of your dashboard codes then we invite you to use our automated dashboard retrieval system.

We have also received more than our fair share of Distributed Denial of Service attacks which had a huge impact on the availability and page loading times on the Street Deeds website. This has now been taken care of and our new Anti-DDoS software now recognizes the unique characteristics of such an attack and will put a stop to it fast, before it can develop into anything "service affecting".
